Good evening everyone...it is my prayer that everyone had a blessed weekend. The sun has been out and with the warm weather the snow is melting and people are gettng out. The work of G.R.A.C.E. continues and a fundraiser has been established. The Word encourages us not to be ashamed of small beginnings and I'm not...I'm just grateful I am being used for His Glory. Many thanks to my daughter, Melissa, who is hosting a fundraiser through her newly acquired business. This tells me she believes in the purpose of G.R.A.C.E. and wants to honor God with her and her family's substance.
Please take time to visit her site at www.missiesmellgoods.scentsy.us. Thanks so much for your support and prayers.

Greetings Everyone...the first month of 2011 is coming to a close today. I continue to welcome each new day and each new month as the manifestation of the home for G.R.A.C.E. gets closer. I continue to hold on to the dream, to the vision, and to the Promise!
A major concern is beginning here in Tulsa as talks of closing schools may be happening in the near future. My Pastor made a statement which I wholeheartedly agree; "let them close so we can open them!" As a people we converse and theorize but the need is greater and needs to be addressed NOW. As my teaching assignements continue to take me to the North Tulsa area the need is so evident. We need teachers, principals, parents, and interested people who really want to intervene on behalf of the children.
I continue to keep myself encouraged with the Word of God and surrounded with people alive with God-given visions. I will not give up.

Celebrating one year!

Greetings Everyone...since my last post the ministry, God's Redemption Affects Children Everywhere, G.R.A.C.E. has officially become one year old! The launching was 01-16-10 and it was a glorious day. As I look back purpose has become quite evident to me. God made and equipped me to advocate for the under-served. Once purpose is clearly recognized then you have complete respect for the vision and the Giver of the vision. Once respect is established, your trust heightens to where you release both yourself and the vision back to the Giver of the vision. At this point the breaking down and building up process becomes the norm. This state of being eventually becomes gratifying because you are in the Hands of the Creator Who wants only the very best for you!
Saturday, the actual event day, I had the honor to host the first fruits of G.R.A.C.E. her name is Asheley. She is a young woman who has been grossly under-served the majority of her life and this disservice continues at this point of her young life. Witnessing the results of this neglect angers me! This anger creates such a passion within me that my focus is set and my specific request has been made known to God. I am ready to receive the much needed home promised me when I said "YES". Yes, I will stand and advocate for her. Recently she said "Momma Sharon; I'm ready to come home." I am ready to have that home to which she can come to NOW.
I request that you stand with me in faith as I say "thank You God, for the beautiful home". Please pray that the healing of Jesus will continue to manifest in Asheley...spirit, soul, and body.

Good Thursday evening to everyone...since my last post I have turned the wonderful age of 60! I feel great and truly feel like I have a new and bright future ahead of me. Actually I do because I chose to follow Jesus!

He continues to confirm a school is needed and will be manifesting. The criteria will be as He sees fit, because the parents/guardians must be part of the child's life. I'm excited as I continue to teach daily in various schools. My eyes are opening to my surroundings and to the difference I am witnessing in the quality or lack of quality in the schools our children are attending.

I'm excited about this season...Jesus is the Reason and about my future.

Hello on this brisk Oklahoma afternoon! God continues to take control and I am enjoy being on His Team! The research I have been doing proves the need and the recent words from the TPS Superintendent confirms; "what's needed is parent participation." I met a mother and a concerned and involved community leader from the North Tulsa area. It's good to meet someone who recognizes and desires to see change come forth right in our own backyard! I will keep you updated; I feel the manifestation excelerating and the time is now.

I think these words are from a Toby Mack song...if me-who? if now-when? No fear here just a desire to see it done...the work God has called several of us to!!!

The first major Holiday weekend is behind us. I hope everyone had a great time. Before I write my blog I always ask God to give me the words to say. I feel in my spirit He's saying enough with words. Put the desire I have placed in your heart into action. The Board is all in agreement and the first item on our agenda is to open up a school. Yes, a school. My brief teaching experience in the school system has brought me to this conclusion and realization...if not us-who?

I am always open to suggestions and truly will welcome them; but the time is now. Our children are literally slipping through the proverbial crack right before our eyes! The strategies are being put in place and as always...the main thing is to keep the main thing...the main thing!
