The first major Holiday weekend is behind us. I hope everyone had a great time. Before I write my blog I always ask God to give me the words to say. I feel in my spirit He's saying enough with words. Put the desire I have placed in your heart into action. The Board is all in agreement and the first item on our agenda is to open up a school. Yes, a school. My brief teaching experience in the school system has brought me to this conclusion and realization...if not us-who?
I am always open to suggestions and truly will welcome them; but the time is now. Our children are literally slipping through the proverbial crack right before our eyes! The strategies are being put in place and as always...the main thing is to keep the main thing...the main thing!

Greetings Everyone and Happy Thanksgiving!
The holiday season is upon us and I am grateful for a loving and merciful God. G.R.A.C.E. is completing its first full year of being active. Our Board Meeting yesterday just energized me even more. God has blessed me with a great membership! We have a focused mission that has been motivated by anger and passion toward the disparity in our public school system. As I voiced my concern my son said, "why don't you open up your own school?" There comes a time when words is not enough. So we are forging ahead to be that much needed proactive intervention to our under-served children and their families. I will definitely keep you posted.
Enjoy your time with your family and friends and do eat until you are satisfied!!! Happy trails Damon, Melissa, Monaiy, and Damarion...watch out Michigan; here comes a large portion of my family. Nana loves you guyz...muchly!

Winding down from my Monday and I just wanted to post how excited I am to be alive. Next month I will be turning the wonderful age of 60 but I feel such a newness of life from the inside out!
As 2010 draws to an end I have nothing but gratitude. There have been several hits and misses throughout this year but my eyes have remained on the Promised Prize. I expect 2011 to be greater than ever. G.R.AC.E. continues to move forward; keep an eye out for the updates. God is showing us creative ways on how to advocate for and provide a safe haven for our under-served children. Thanks so much for your prayers.

Greetings...I didn't want another week to come and go without updating my blog. Since the last update I have been a Teacher for the Day (subsitute teacher) for two fourth grade classes. My only comment we do not pay our teachers enough money! This is a great opportunity to see the need of our children and their parents.
God continues to deal with my heart concerning His people. I continue to see the injustice of this society toward children, the elderly, and those with mental challenges. Such a cowardly way to deal with persons who can not defend or stand up for themselves. My passion continues to rise to see change come forth NOW. We must remain cognizant of the new law Jesus speaks of..to love others as He loves us.
